I'm Abe Alirez, a photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona.

I'm drawn to two things: the shapes people make against the buildings, roads, and empty space around them, and the moments someone lets you see them a beat longer than they meant to. I don't chase landmarks. I shoot what's actually in front of me — a silhouette on a bridge, a man on a stool outside a music hall, a kid running up a set of bleachers toward the sky.
